Here’s just some of what’s NEW FOR 2012 that will enhance the high performance skills and solid gold ideas you’ll take back home:
- Great Beginnings: When you check in, you’ll be warmly greeted in a demonstration of outstanding ways to welcome both staff and campers. You’ll be involved in some fast and fun activities that will introduce you to others in ways that you’ll want to use at camp to launch your 2012 season with success!
- Innovations: We’ve got a special action team of camp professionals and learning experts designing innovations to the Mid States Conference. Every hour you’re here you’ll see brand new, creative ways in which we are presenting the Conference—we’ll be modeling what the best camps do with their campers and staff. So you’ll be experiencing yourself outstanding ways you can use to work with others at camp!
- “Turbocharged Take Home!” As soon as you arrive, you’ll get some fun, easy-to-use tools that will help you meet new people right away and trade specific answers and resources about how others do things successfully at their camps.
- Super Sessions: Our General Sessions are now Super Sessions which will not only feature outstanding keynote speakers who focus on tools and techniques you can use, but are also packed with demonstrations of terrific and creative skills, including how to grab and keep attention of staff and campers, communicate announcements and important information in ways that really stick, and more!
- Directors, Experienced and New: We’ll be featuring innovative special opportunities and learning methods for you to get specific solutions to your most challenging problems.
- Increased leadership development opportunities right at Conference: These are great new chances to work with our special teams during Super Sessions, Great Beginnings, and other Conference activities.
- An 8th Education Session has been added to the schedule! We have heard your requests for more learning opportunities and have changed the schedule to add an 8th Education Session.
