conference networking opportunities
There are TONS of ways to network with other camp professionals during the camp conference! During meals, in between education sessions, at the Exhibit Hall; the possibilities are endless!
ING's - Interest Networking Groups
The Interest Networking Groups (ING's) give attendees the opportunity to join in good conversation with others who share similar interests, camps or communities. ING's are times for groups to gather and talk, connect, network and idea-share! Here are some of our past Interest Networking Groups listed below:
- LGBTQ Interest Networking Group
- Camp Health Care
- Girl Scouts
- Trip Leaders
- Camp Cooks
- Property Staff
- Aquatic Supervisors
- And more!
To submit a suggestions for a group or to lead an Interest Networking Group at the Conference, please email email@example.com. Please include a title, 25 word description and any questions. All groups that wish to be included in the Program Book should be submitted before April 1st.
Meet other camp professionals form your local areas at this lunchtime event. Get updates on local events and news, exchange ideas, ask questions and more. ACA membership is not required to attend. Grab a bag lunch for just $8 (tickets must be purchased before the conference) and head to the Local Gathering for your area. Check the Program Book for details on room locations. Lunch tickets are not required to attend your Local Gathering - just to grab the bag lunch before. Questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Early Morning Activities - EMA's
Who doesn't love a dip in the pool or lake just as the sun has risen over camp in the summer? Relive those moments plus get some exercise at the Mid States Early Morning Activities. Past EMA's include:
Polar Bear Swims
To submit and lead an Early Morning Activity, please email the title, 25 word description, day/day you would like to schedule your EMA, plus special room needs (hard floor, pool, no carpet, etc.) to email@example.com. EMA's should be submitted by April 1st to be included in the Program Book.
