Morning Keynote: Great Leaders Wear Feedback Glasses, Jill Geisler
This is a new way of looking at the power of feedback and your ability to integrate it into your everyday interactions. You can’t add hours to your day, but you can make your feedback have more impact. You’ll finish this session with a new tool kit.
Afternoon Keynote: Tough Conversations, Top Outcomes, Jill Geisler
Not all feedback can be positive. We owe it to our team members to hold people accountable. We also face times when we have to deliver negative news. While leaders enjoy being liked by their teams, they can’t be too nice to have a tough conversation. We share insights into conflict resolution and demonstrate a real-time process to make difficult conversations easier and more effective.

Jill Geisler is a leadership and management coach to leaders worldwide, including many she’s never met. As the author of “Work Happy: What Great Bosses Know” and two very popular podcasts, she brings research-based information, practical tips and management experience to her teaching. Jill teaches from experience. At a very young age, she became one of the country’s first women to lead a major market television newsroom. After many award-winning years in her role as VP of news, she was tapped to guide the leadership and management programs of the respected Poynter Institute. There she developed a reputation as a master teacher, with a style that combines experience and science, humor and humanity.
Jill knows the value of a quality camp experience. She and her husband watched their youngest son MacNeil grow from camper to staff at Wisconsin’s Camp Eagle Ridge. They valued the camp’s influence on his personal development and how it built special friendships he still enjoys today as an adult.
Jill holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in leadership studies. She’s been inducted into multiple media halls of fame, teaches leaders in all industries – from media to medicine to manufacturing, and currently holds the Bill Plante Chair in Leadership and Media Integrity at Loyola University Chicago. Her book “Work Happy” has been published in several languages. Her podcasts, “What Great Bosses Know” and “Q&A: Leadership and Integrity in the Digital Age” have had over 13 million downloads, showing both the hunger for management training and Jill’s ability to deliver. Her management mantra is simple: “Life’s too short to work with jerks.”
