WOW!!  Pheasant Run's Mid States Conference room rates are now just- $105/night (plus tax).  And they'll remain that low through our 2013 conference! The Mid States Steering Committee strives to be  good representatives of your ACA sections and provide excellent educational opportunities for you and your staff at affordable prices.

You have asked for more, so we have responded. Starting last year, and continuing in 2010; we have added an additional Educational Session for a total of seven. That means even more opportunities for you and your staff to acquire knowledge, ideas, skills and resources to bring to your camp!

Eating Lower on the Food Chain - Friday Night Community Dinner Explores the Possibilities!
Harvard nutritionist, Jean Mayer, estimates that reducing meat consumption by just 10 percent in the United States would free enough grain to feed 60 million people.  For additional information check out Sustainable Living: Eating Lower On The Food Ladder.
In cooperation with Pheasant Run Resort we enjoyed a meatless international meal for our Community Dinner.  It was not only delicious, but was in keeping with a healthy sustainable lifestyle.

You Can Bring to Your Camp!
We enjoyed a showcase of talent with four special performers selected especially for camps . These individuals featured in our showcase can be hired at your camp to teach your counselors or campers the basics of their skills.

Help Keep Mid States Green!
Mid States is committed to being an environmentally friendly conference. We continued to 'step up' our recycling capabilities with daily pick-ups of recyclable materials. Pheasant Run has also made tremendous strides in 'going green' with many behind the scenes improvements to the hotel and its operations.

Each year the Steering Committee listens to your feedback and makes changes that will benefit the camp community.
